Completing an Inspection or Survey

You will receive an email notification when an inspection/survey has been assigned to you and is due.The email message will include a link to open the inspection/survey record in a standalone version of Cority (no menus, restricted functionality). The link becomes inactive after the inspection/survey’s end date. Employees may also complete inspections from their task list in the Portal/myCority.

You can also check your assigned inspections/surveys list at any time: click My Inspections & Surveys in the Safety, Ergonomics, Environmental or Quality menu.

  1. Complete the questionnaire. The Completion/ History tab shows all inspections/survey assigned to you. The top list shows your Due and Overdue Inspections/Surveys (can be changed to show just due inspections/surveys). Clicki_right_arrow_circle00008.png to display fields that allow you to filter the list by specific field values.
Click a link to view and complete the questionnaire. When the questionnaire is complete (completed date entered on the questionnaire), it appears in the bottom list.

  2. If applicable, identify findings and actions related to the inspection/survey. Select the completed inspection/survey and choose Actions»Create Finding and Action for this Inspection/Survey. For information about recording a finding and its actions, see Recording a New Finding.

  3. If necessary, attach any documents containing background or supporting information. Select the completed inspection/survey and choose Actions»Create Document for this Inspection/Survey. For more information, see Linking or Importing a Document.

The Findings and Actions tab displays all findings and actions relating to all inspections/surveys performed by you. An inspection/survey cannot be approved by the administrator until all actions are also closed.

The Documents tab displays all documents attached to all inspections/surveys performed by you. To view an action’s attachment, open the finding and choose Actions»Open Document.

How Are Due Dates Calculated?

Each inspection/survey’s due date is calculated based on the program’s Start Date and Recurrence Frequency. For example if the program’s start date is March 1:

Recurrence

Inspection 1
Due Date

Inspection 2
Start Date

Inspection 2
Due Date

none

weekly

March 7

March 8

March 14

monthly

March 31

April 1

April 30

quarterly

May 31

June 1

August 31

If an inspector/recipient was assigned after a due date has passed, the next due date applies. In the monthly example above, the first due date is March 31. An inspector assigned on April 15 will only have one due inspection (due April 30) -- any inspections of this program before April 15 will not be deemed due/overdue.
